Mitchell Sotka Ltd. was established in 2002 with an eclectic, personal and at ease design philosophy. His aesthetic embraces antiques to contemporary pieces. Nestled on a quaint street with other fine stores and restaurants in historic Rocky River, Mitchell Sotka offers 18th to 21st century furniture and accessories in a boutique-like setting.

The selection of fine antique and vintage pieces includes sterling silver, crystal, porcelain, pottery, paintings, prints, furniture, lighting, jewelry and other unique items. These quality pieces are wonderful to create a focal point in a room, as an accent piece, or as a gift for that special occasion or particular person.

There are also great new accessories that have a global provenance and are carefully selected by Mitchell to keep things fresh and interesting. In addition, Mitchell works closely with select contemporary artists whose paintings, glass and jewelry are always changing.

Mitchell Sotka offers three great ways to showcase your consigned piece(s) to the buying public. A boutique setting in Rocky River, Ohio; a state of the art internet sales system; and area antique shows give your pieces the best exposure. Additionally, your pieces are handled with care and respect no matter the venue. There is a sliding scale for commission rates and all consignments of large quantity and or size will be facilitated through a delivery services and be charge accordingly.


Mitchell Sotka, Ltd. is fast becoming the venue for emerging artist to show their work. The gallery has handled shows for jewelers, painters and glass blowers. Located on a charming street in a Western suburb of Cleveland, Ohio this location is an ideal spot for open houses and trunk shows to showcase local and not so local talent. The gallery holds four open house / trunk show events a year.


Mitchell Sotka has the ability to professionally analyze your personal effects. His twelve years experience working in local galleries, nationally know auction house and current establishment has provided him with a hands on approach with a realistic understanding of values and market trends. Professional services include written appraisals for insurance, probate and division of assets. Verbal evaluations are also available. Mitchell Sotka

Mitchell Sotka has worked in the decorative arts field since 1995. Sotka started his carrier at a prominent antique gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. A major auction house noticed his skills and creativity and courted him to join their Internet auction team. Eventually headed up the decorative arts department. Sotka says that the auction world provided him a great education to deal with anything that may come across his path. In 2002 Sotka opened his store to showcase his eclectic design philosophy.

Kim Smith

After a career in graphic design Kim decided to embark on a new career. Interior design is a field that allows her to use a color and design background and fulfill a passion of creating beautiful spaces. Her professional training began with one of Cleveland's most renowned interior designers. In 2004 she established her own interior design firm. The timing was right to team up with Mitchell Sotka in 2007. Kim's classic and eclectic sense is a perfect fit with the inventory of Mitchell Sotka.
