A Pair of Carved Soapstone Bookends, Chinese Circa 1920
The square form is carved in heavy relief with flowering plant cascading over a garden pot resting on a low table. The bookends are carved in soapstone in mottled tan and brown. There is no marking on the bookends but they are truly Chinese.
