19th Century Antique Staffordshire Little Red Riding Hood Figure English Sculpture
Classic fairytale meets classic Staffordshire statuette in this lovely lady! This 19th century figure is hand decorated to depict Little Red Riding Hood. She carries a basket in her left arm and her right is keeping the fox close at her side. Red does not appear to sense the danger lingering so close to her person as she gazes optimistically forward. A lover of timeless tales might place this sculpture on a bookshelf or in a curio cabinet to accent collected narratives.
Condition: Very Good.
Some chips that blend well into the design.
Has hole in back (see pictures) to release pressure during kiln firing.
