Vintage Sterling Silver Cleveland The Webb C. Ball Co Baby Rattle Original Bag
Local history has a special place in our hearts and that's what makes this Sterling Silver Baby Rattle even more precious! Webb C. Ball Co was established in 1869 and named after the founder who apprenticed for a jeweler and then watchmaker in Cincinnati, OH. His love of jewelry and watchmaking brought him to Cleveland where eventually he opened a shop on Euclid Ave with a bronze clock greeting passersby. Due to his high standards and quality control, he became the largest wholesale distributor of standard railroad watches. After WWII, the company shifted their focus to jewelry and continued operating on Euclid Ave until 1962. This beautiful rattle is a part of this rich local history!
