Antique Staffordshire Robin Hood Figural Group Ceramic Vase Sculpture
We all know the classic tale of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, but maybe never pictured him as a Staffordshire figure! At first glance, these two figures may appear to be French chefs on a quest for ingredients. Upon closer inspection, we see a faint "Robinhood" inscription on the base marked with gilt gold. The tree behind the figures is a vase and the most interesting way to display flowers!
Condition: Very Good
Expected wear for age. Gilt gold has rubbed off in areas over time.
Three visible cracks in form that appear to be from firing, but structurally sound.
Size: 9 1/2" width; 15" height; 3 1/2" depth; 1 1/2" vase opening depth; 2 1/2" vase opening width
