Antique Weller Louwelsa Hand Painted Cherry Ceramic Aurelian Jug
Weller pottery is exceptional and timeless. When looking at this Aurelian jug, it might be hard to believe that it is over 100 years old! This ceramic work of art is part of the Weller Louwelsa line from early 20th century. Signature Weller lustrous, gradient glaze is enhanced by the hand-painted cherries. Add this autumnal, earth-toned piece to any room to make it visually warm!
Though this piece does not have a "Weller" mark, near exact motif and execution of glazing can be found in extant "Weller" marked pieces. It is not uncommon to have an unmarked Weller piece from the early 1900s.
Signature stilt marks.
Marked "4" "467" on base.
