Alfredo Ximenez, Mexican (1903-2000)

Ximenez was a printmaker born in Mexico. He studied at the Bellas Artes and supported himself as a commercial artist. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1923 and exhibited his work through the Federal Art Project including shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (1936) and an Associated American Artists traveling show in 1937.

Published by Associated American Artists in an edition of 250.

Signed and titled in pencil by the artist.

His prints are held in major museums around the U.S. including the National Gallery of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
