Frame your favorite photograph or small watercolor with a work of art! This Antique Art Nouveau Picture Frame is a stunning example of blending design, function, and art in one piece. The frame is beautifully shaped with rounded, whimsical lines all leading to the figure of a woman with long hair draping down her back and into her flowing gown. She sits beneath a stem of bell flowers and in front of a "window", the picture frame glass. If you adore Art Nouveau design stylings, this picture frame is a dream come true!
Collector's Notes:
Art nouveau easel-back tabletop picture frame with iconic female figure and exaggerated blue bell flowers in relief. The metal is unmarked; looks to be silvered pewter. Design attributed to an Austrian artist, Max Hacger. Likely would've been one of two frames, the other mirroring this one with subtle differences.
