We love a unique treasure! This one is a remnant of political history, denoting Republican hopes of Victory in the 1944 Presidential Election. Franklin D. Roosevelt (D) and Thomas E. Dewey (R.), both from New York, ran against one another this year. Though Roosevelt won, this elephant carried on his hopeful message of "Victory in '44".
