In the 19th century, the French region of Brittany's town of Quimper was well established in their production of faience pottery. The Porquier company was developed from passion and appreciation of the local traditions, folklore, and artisanship. This plate celebrates daily life experienced in the town as well as the craftsperson who hand-painted every detail on this surface. Combining painting, sculpture, and cultural history into one beautiful plate!
