Art Nouveau Sterling Silver and Glass Jar by Foster & Bailey. The repoussé lid features the profile of a woman with hair flowing in the wind while she admires birds perched on a branch in front of her. Behind her head, another bird sings from its perch. Elaborate flowers flow around them as a window framing another world. The clear glass jar has a pattern cut into it to emphasize the shape and balance the dimensionality of the ornate lid. It is a beautiful treasure!

Hallmarked "F & B" in a penant; "STERLING PAT'D 1916". Circa 1916-1918.
Less than expected wear for age; minor scuffing on silver consistent with age and polishing, minor wear/scuffing on glass on bottom consistent with use, minor interior scuffing/residue.
