Lola K. Isroff, American (1909-2000)

Isroff exhibited works in major museums and galleries across the globe including
the Musee d'Art Naif de L'lle de France, the White House Visitors' Gallery in
Washington D.C., and the Metro Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She won various
honors and awards throughout her lifetime including the Merit Award in 1950 and
2nd place winner of Hallmark's National Design Contest in 1983.

Isroff is known for her folk memory paintings, depicting historic architecture and scenes of urban life. She is a self-taught artist, and her work is in the naïve style characterized by simplified forms, bright colors, and a charming folk art aesthetic. This Landscape is a good example of her distinctive style and subject matter.
