Francis Ouimet was an American amateur golfer who achieved frame by winning the 1913 U.S. Open, which popularized golf in the United States. He was often referred to as the ‘father of amateur golf.’
Stylized Golfer "Francis Ouimet" Charles Bragg (1931-2017) Framed Etching; Bragg spent much of his early life traveling with his Vaudville parents after being born in St. Louis, MO. He studied art in Harlem, New York. When he turned 18, he ran away with his sweetheart. Eventually, he grew roots in Beverly Hills.
His work can be found in several museums, including the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Albrecht Museum of Art in St Joseph, Missouri, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Numbered "82/150" and signed.
