Set of Eight Vintage Venetian Italian Aventurine Hexagon Tall Glasses Barware
Hand-blown Venetian art glass. Each glass unique. Dropped hot glass trails applied at bottom of each of the panels. The gold foil inclusions, called Aventurine was a technique popularized by Antonio Salviati for Compagnia in the late 19th century.
Thin-walled glass free-blown method hexagonal shaped tall water glass. Round bottom tapers up to six-sided rim. The hot glass trails vary in shape, each one has a rose-gold tint to them. The glittering 24K inclusions appear on all of the glasses in varying amounts. The gold foil is placed onto the molten glass, and shatters into shimmering microscopic flecks as the glass is reheated and inflated. At a glance, it looks like the glass has a film inside from wear, but on closer inspection you can see the flecks!
