Bell Trading Post was established in Albuquerque, NM in 1932 along the newly established Route 66 by husband and wife, Mildred (maiden name of Bell) and Jack Michelson. They employed Navajo artisans in their trading post to craft their Bell-branded jewelry that was originally comprised of many different metals due to the recovering economy of the era. In the 1960s, the company transferred hands to their children and was eventually rebranded as Sunbell which remained in operation until the 1980s.
Marked "Sterling" and stamped with the 1961-1972 hallmark for Bell Trading Post.
