A Wes Anderson-style Hollywood Regency credenza by Renzo Rutili [1901-1966] for Johnson Furniture. Four gilded doors, each with a central pull, are individually decorated with nature-related motifs thay shimmer in the light. The pink lacquer is pristine and coats the inside - even the adjustable shelves! We adore this colorful credenza.

Lorenzo Rutilli was originally born in Pennsylvania. He studied at Carnegie Institute, gained inspiration and more skills while in Europe, and designed for Johnson Furniture for 30 years. The Jounson Furniture Company was a Grand Rapids Michigan company founded in 1908 after five years of small production cabinet making. During the 1940s, their factory converted into aircraft production to aide the war efforts.  Though the company was techically operational until 1983, the final Johnson family member retired in 1963. They continued to product furniture adding new clientele: hotels and motels like the Holiday Inn.
