"Roger was an amazing artist whose talents lead him around the United States and around the world. He studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. His career included Promotion Art Director for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Director of Visual Design for American Greetings Corp. and Professor and Chairman of the Industrial Design Dept. of the Cleveland Institute of Art. In expression of his love of architecture, he created a new form of art in his retirement years, framed acid etched engravings of his drawings of city skylines. Soon these popular engravings became diversified and included travel scenes, professions, and United States colleges. He displayed his work in galleries and in many art shows. Family, friends, art and travel dominated his life. He was a volunteer at Metro Hospital for 35 years drawing children and making them smile." - Cleveland Obituraries
